CORSODYL Dental Gel 50 g
Corsodyl 1% gel is for use in the oral cavity, the active substance chlorhexidine in Corsodyl works against a wide range of bacteria, yeasts, certain fungi and viruses that cause infectious diseases and inflammations in the oral cavity.
Corsodyl 1% gel is intended for:
- to suppress the formation of dental plaque
- to prevent and treat gingivitis
- to maintain oral hygiene in situations where thorough brushing is not possible
- to support the healing of the gums after oral surgery
- for the treatment of prosthetic stomatitis (bleeding and gingivitis caused by denture irritation)
- as a supplement to fluoride products in the prevention of dental caries in high-risk patients.
The product is intended for adults and adolescents from 12 years of age.
Package size is 50 g.
Dosage and method of use
The duration of treatment and dosage vary for different types of disease, use in accordance with the package leaflet.
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
For oral use only.
Do not swallow. Spit out any remaining gel in your mouth after use, or rinse your mouth lightly with water. However, if accidentally swallowed, side effects are unlikely.
Ingredients
The active substance is chlorhexidine digluconate 1.0 g in 100 g of tooth gel (equivalent to chlorhexidine digluconate solutio 5.325 g in 100 g of tooth gel).
The other ingredients are isopropyl alcohol, hyprolose, glycerol macrogol hydroxystearate, sodium acetate trihydrate, peppermint essential oil, levomenthol and purified water.
Contraindication
The product should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Children under 12 years of age should only use the product on the advice of a doctor.
