Product description
Star anise gives your dishes a sweet and spicy taste reminiscent of licorice. It is indispensable in Chinese and Indian cuisine. KOTÁNYI star anise is an excellent way to spice up your dishes, whether they are sweet or a bit bolder.
For pampered gourmands:
Pickled mandarins with star anise for 2 glasses we need:
10 peeled and sliced mandarins, 1/2 liter of orange juice, 6 pieces of KOTÁNYI star anise, 50 g granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons of sesame oil.
Preparation: mix orange juice with sugar, add KOTÁNYI star anise and bring to a boil. Add the chopped tangerines and let it boil again for a short while. Then take out the tangerines, put them in mason jars, pour hot orange juice over them, drizzle with oil and close the jars. Let cool at room temperature.
Tip: tangerines with star anise go very well with desserts, ice cream or spicy poultry liver pâtés.
