Jenamazol 2% vaginal cream is used in women to treat vaginal mycoses and vaginal infections, which are characterized by itching and redness in the vagina and vulva, burning and swelling of the tissues often accompanied by a yellowish-white outflow, mostly odorless. In addition, Jenamazol 2% may be used in men to treat inflammation of the genitalia (balanitis), which is manifested by redness, itching and a stinking discharge from the foreskin. Jenamazol vaginal cream is designed for adults and adolescents from 12 years of age.
How is Jenamazol 2% used:
For vaginal inflammation, the content of 1 vaginal cream applicator is introduced every 3 hours consecutively each day into the vagina. Three day application is usually sufficient. For inflammation of the vulva in women and glaucoma in men, the cream is applied in a thin layer to the affected area 2-3 times a day, usually 1-2 weeks.The product should not be used in girls under 12 years of age. To prevent recurrent infection, it is necessary to treat both the sexual partner at the same time.
The active substance is clotrimazole 20 mg in 1 g of vaginal cream, the content of the applicator (about 5 g of cream) is equivalent to 100 mg of clotrimazole.
The other ingredients are sorbitan stearate, polysorbate 60, vorvafinin, cetylstearyl alcohol, benzyl alcohol, octyl dodecanol, purified water.
It may reduce the safety of contraceptive methods, eg when using spermicidal products, a condom or pessary.
