Swedish bitter has had a permanent place in medicine cabinets since the 17th century. In the past, it was used for all ailments, but today it is primarily taken to promote well-being after meals. Maria Treben, in particular, has made Swedish bitter one of the best-known and most popular home remedies through her publication "Health from the Pharmacy of God".
Our Swedish bitters contain only alcohol, water and alcoholic herbal extracts.
Effect
Bitter substances are valuable helpers in the context of digestion. If bitter food is ingested, the bitter receptors report this, which leads to an increased production of gastric acid. In the liver and pancreas, the production and release of digestive enzymes are stimulated and digestion in the small intestine is accelerated.
In recent decades, however, more and more naturally occurring bitter substances have been bred out of salads, vegetables and bitter fruits in the food industry. This lack of bitter substances can lead to too little formation of gastric acid and digestive enzymes. This, in turn, can lead to bloating, bloating, and stomach upset.
The parts of the plant selected in Swedish bitters contain bitter substances that have a digestive and digestive effect and thus support digestion when feeling fuller and after sumptuous meals.
Application
Take one teaspoon (approx. 3ml) diluted with water or tea 5 times a day after meals.

Water, alcohol. Plant extracts, coloring: caramel.
15ml (recommended daily dose) contain an extract of: angelica root 182mg, nutmeg 182mg, bitter orange peel 121mg, calamus root 121mg, wormwood herb 61mg, centaury 61mg, cinnamon bark 61mg, gentian root 61mg and saffron 0.2mg.
