CarboFlex is a sterile and non-adhesive dressing containing activated carbon in an absorbent pad that adheres to the wound. The absorption layer is composed of alginate and hydrocolloid and turns into a gel when the exudate is absorbed. The top layer of the cover is smooth and waterproof. CarboFlex is intended for the treatment of acute and chronic wounds that smell strongly . It is used as primary coverage of superficial wounds or as secondary coverage of deep wounds that are primarily filled with another type of coverage. CarboFlex can also be used to treat infected wounds, subject to careful monitoring by the attending physician and appropriate antibiotic treatment. In indicated cases, the use of supportive treatment is appropriate (e.g. compression bandage for leg ulcers, pressure relief for bedsores, etc.).

Dosage and method of use
Before use, read the package leaflet first.
Before applying the CarboFlex dressing, carefully clean the wound and remove all debris and necrotic tissue. Rinse the wound thoroughly and dry the area around it well. Do not cut the cover , always choose the correct size cover so that it extends beyond the edges of the wound by at least 3 cm. For superficial wounds, CarboFlex can be applied directly to the wound. In the care of deep wounds, it is used as a secondary dressing, after previously filling the wound with e.g. gel. Place the covering on the wound with the fibrous (non-shiny) side . Secure CabroFlex to the wound with a plaster or other bandage. Dressing is carried out according to the Principles of Good Clinical Practice if the dressing is soaked or if the smell from the wound reappears. For non-infected , smelly wounds , CarboFlex dressing can be left on the wound for up to 3 days , but infected wounds require more frequent dressings . Carefully remove the dressing from the wound by pulling on its tip.
