The inspiration for the creation of this specific fragrance was a fragrance composition originally created for Viscount Palmerston - the prime minister during the reign of Queen Victoria.
However, the name of this fragrance refers to the year 1805, when the barber shop Truefitt & Hill was first opened. It also became the oldest barbershop in the world.
