Bioactive Carotene is a capsule food supplement containing pure beta-carotene equivalent to 1500 μg of vitamin A. It is produced by mixing beta-carotene with an oil base that keeps the active substance stable and increases its bioavailability.
Beta-carotene belongs to the group of yellow and red plant ingredients with color effect. It is the substance that adds orange color to carrots, for example. It is also provitamine, which is converted to vitamin A in the amount that the body needs.
