L-Glutamine is an important amino acid for the body. L-glutamine is the most abundant free amino acid in muscle cells, and L-glutamine is the main source of energy for intestinal cells. In stressful situations, such as serious illnesses, injuries, burns and operations, the body's own glutamine production often cannot cover the need, and an external supply (nutrition, supplements) becomes necessary.
L-glutamic acid is a non-essential amino acid that the body can produce in sufficient quantities from various precursors. L-glutamic acid itself serves as a precursor to L-glutamine.
