Glenmark CETALGEN 500 mg / 200 mg 20 tablets
CETALGEN is used for the short-term treatment of moderate pain such as headache (not migraine), back pain, menstrual pain, toothache, muscle pain, cold and flu pain, sore throat and treatment for fever.
CETALGEN is only used to treat rheumatic pain on the advice of a doctor.
This preparation is particularly suitable for the control of pain, which requires treatment with a stronger analgesic effect than that provided by ibuprofen or paracetamol alone.
It contains two active substances: ibuprofen and paracetamol.
Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which reduce pain, swelling and high body temperature.
Paracetamol is an analgesic (painkiller) that relieves pain and fever in a different way than ibuprofen.
For adults only.
The pack contains 20 tablets.
Dosage and method of use
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
For oral (oral) and short-term use.
Take the lowest effective dose for the shortest time needed to relieve the symptoms of the disease.
If you have an infectious disease, talk to your doctor immediately if symptoms (such as fever and pain) persist or worsen. Do not take CETALGEN for more than 3 days . If your symptoms worsen or persist, consult your doctor.
Recommended dose:
Adults: Take 1 tablet up to three times a day with food or water . Leave an interval of at least 6 hours between doses.
If one tablet does not alleviate the symptoms, you can take a maximum of 2 tablets up to three times a day. Do not take more than six tablets in 24 hours (equivalent to 3000 mg paracetamol, 1200 mg ibuprofen daily).
If you have liver or kidney disease or are older, your doctor will tell you the correct dose to take, which will be the lowest possible.
Ingredients
CETALGEN contains the active substances ibuprofen and paracetamol.
The other ingredients are:
Tablet core: maize starch, povidone, croscarmellose sodium (E 468), microcrystalline cellulose (E 460), colloidal anhydrous silica (E 551), glycerol dibehenate (E 471).
Coating layer: opadry white (partially hydrolysed polyvinyl alcohol, talc, titanium dioxide, glycerol monooctanodecanoate, sodium lauryl sulphate).
Contraindication
Read the package leaflet carefully.
Not intended for children and adolescents under 18 years.
Do not take if you are in the last 3 months of pregnancy.
