OLYNTH® HA 0.05% is an effective and at the same time gentle nasal spray with a moisturizing effect designed to treat rhinitis.
The active substance is xylometazoline in the form of xylometazoline hydrochloride, which reduces swelling of the mucous membranes, thus facilitating nose-breathing and improving mucus release.
The excipient is sodium hyaluronate, sodium hyaluronic acid, moisten and nasal mucosa.
Relieve relief almost immediately, within 5-10 minutes, and the effect lasts up to twelve hours.
OLYNTH® HA 0.05% is additionally free of preservatives.
The OLYNTH® HA 0.05% nasal spray is designed for patients suffering from acute rhinitis, vasomotor rhinitis and allergic rhinitis. Thanks to the xylometazoline drug, it reduces swelling of the nasal mucosa. It is also used to accelerate mucus release during nasal sinus inflammation and inflammation of the Eustachian tube accompanied by rhinitis.
OLYNTH® HA 0.05% is intended for children from 2 to 7 years of age.
Unless otherwise recommended, children up to 7 years of age receive up to 3 times daily 1 dose of OLYNTH® HA 0.05% nasal spray into each nostril. Dosage depends on the patient's sensitivity and the effect of the product.
How is OLYNTH® HA given 0.05%?
Remove the protective cover. Prior to first use, press the pump several times until a continuous aerosol cloud appears for the first time. The nasal spray is ready for further use. Apply only one pump at a time and inhale slightly with your nose. Keep the bottle upright. Do not inject the dose by holding the nasal spray horizontally or upside down. After use, replace the protective cover with the pump.
Tell your doctor about OLYNTH® HA 0.05% of your child.
Use of the product in chronic rhinitis is only permitted under the supervision of a physician due to the risk of nasal congestion.
Caution:
Consult your doctor for the appropriateness of taking OLYNTH® HA 0.05% with other medicines.
How long should you use OLYNTH® HA 0.05%?
Consult OLYNTH® HA Nasal Spray 0.05% for at least 3 days without consulting your doctor . If the symptoms of the illness do not improve or become worse, or if you experience side effects or some unusual reactions, consult your doctor for further advice. Longer use than 3 days is possible only after consultation with a physician.
The reuse of the product may only take place after a break of several days.
What should you do if you use too much OLYNTH® HA 0.05%?
In cases of overdose or inadvertent ingestion, the following symptoms may occur: enlargement of the pupils (mydriasis), nausea, vomiting, bluish discolouration (cyanosis), fever, convulsions, circulatory disorders (pulse acceleration, heart rhythm disorders, circulatory failure, cardiac arrest , increased blood pressure), pulmonary disorders (lung edema, breathing disorders) and mood disorders.
Drowsiness, decrease in body temperature, slow heartbeat, drop in blood pressure to shock, breathing disorder and unconsciousness may also occur.
In case of such difficulties, immediately consult a doctor! As a first aid, charcoal can be given.
When should not OLYNTH® HA be used 0.05%?
OLYNTH® HA 0.05% Nasal Spray should not be used in the following cases:
- hypersensitivity to any ingredient contained in OLYNTH® HA 0.05%
- dry nasal mucosa (rhinitis sicca)
- children under 2 years of age.
Take special care with OLYNTH® HA 0.05%
The product may only be used on the advice of a physician:
- patients treated with certain anti-depressants (monoamine oxidase inhibitors) or other medicines with possible blood pressure increase
- patients with increased intraocular pressure, (glaucoma) with a closed angle
- a patient with a serious disease of the circulatory system (eg ischemic heart disease, high blood pressure)
- a patient with a pheochromocytoma (a tumor of the adrenal medulla which causes an increase in blood pressure)
- patients with some metabolic disorders (increased activity of the thyroid gland, diabetes).
