RespoSorb Super is a wound dressing specially developed for use in heavily and very heavily secreting acute and chronic wounds (such as pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, ulcerated tumors). The absorbent cover is composed of four different layers of material . The side that is applied to the wound consists of a very soft, white, hydrophilic non-woven material (viscose and polyamide) that prevents adhesion to the wound . Underneath lies the core of the cover, which is made of soft cellulose flakes and these are mixed with liquid-binding polyacrylate polymers. This absorbent core is wrapped in a thin non-woven fabric that evenly distributes the liquid and reliably seals it . By draining the exudate, the wound is freed from influences that slow healing (e.g. proteases). The increased absorption capacity of the RespoSorb Super cover reduces the frequency of changing the cover , which ensures peace of mind for the wound and at the same time additional protection against contamination. The outer side is made of green polypropylene non-woven fabric, which repels water, but still allows air to pass through and guarantees gas exchange. It is the product with the largest absorption and retention capacity on the market. RespoSorb is ideal in combination with compression therapy, when it achieves the greatest absorption.

Main advantages

  • Suitable for heavily and very heavily secreting acute and chronic wounds.
  • The superabsorbent core absorbs and reliably closes secretions from the wound.
  • The cover lets air through and guarantees gas exchange.
  • The outer layer protects clothes and bedding.

The package contains 10 covers measuring 20 x 40 cm.

Dosage and method of use

Read the package leaflet carefully before use.

Choose the size of RespoSorb Super according to the extent of the wound so that the coverage overlaps the wound by 1-2 cm. The wound covering must not be trimmed.

  1. Place the RespoSorb Super compress with the white side on the wound so that the special green non-woven layer is on the outside and facing away from the wound.
  2. Fix the compress with plasters, fixation bandages or, if necessary, compression bandages.

The compress can remain on the wound for up to 5 days, depending on the condition of the wound. Change of compression is necessary if clinically indicated or if exudate reaches its edges or seeps through the green non-woven layer. For infected wounds, a combination with Atrauman Ag compression dressing is possible. After the secretion is reduced, it is recommended to use a suitable hydroactive cover (e.g. HydroTac).

 Notice

Do not use RespoSorb Super if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients. Do not use RespoSorb Super on dry wounds, as well as on exposed bones, muscles and tendons. Before any treatment of wounds with impaired healing tendency, a medical assessment of the condition of the wound and clarification of the causes of impaired wound healing is necessary. Treatment with RespoSorb Super coverage cannot replace the causal treatment of the negative development of wound healing. The sealed edge of the peel package contains natural latex, which can cause allergic reactions. The contents are sterile if the package is not damaged. Protect from sunlight. Store in a dry, horizontal position and out of reach of children.
