Vivamel dressing with medical honey is a contact mesh to treat wounds with weak secretion and to protect the lower wound. The mesh is soft, thin and covered with medical honey. Thanks to its extraordinary flexibility, it ensures better contact with the wound base, while honey prevents the bandage from sticking to the wound.

Medical chestnut honey has a high sugar content (min. 80%), low water content (max. 17%) and acidic pH. Due to these physical properties, the solitary activity of honey is very high. Osmotic pressure pulls fluids out of the cells of microorganisms, prevents their growth and at the same time stimulates wound healing, because it stimulates the flow of necessary substances in the body. Chestnut honey is a rich source of vitamins, enzymes and minerals (especially calcium, manganese and potassium), which additionally stimulate wound healing and shorten the healing time. Honey allows great healing of wounds and creates mechanical protection of the wound.
