The mother's intake of the omega-3 fatty acid DHA contributes to the normal development of the brain and eyes in the unborn child and in the breastfed infant
To ensure a sufficient intake, the intake of at least 200 mg DHA is recommended in addition to the daily recommended amount of 250 mg omega-3 fatty acids
