Alpinamed cough stimulant marshmallow syrup 150 ml

Alpinamed cough stimulant marshmallow syrup is a traditional herbal medicine for the symptomatic treatment of irritation of the mucous membranes in the mouth and throat and the associated dry cough. This medicinal product is a traditional herbal medicinal product that is only registered for the stated areas of application because it has been used for many years. This medicine is used in adults, adolescents and children over 3 years of age. If you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 1 week, contact your doctor.

Contraindications

Alpinamed cough stimulant marshmallow syrup must not be taken if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to marshmallow root or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or might take/use any other medicines. No interaction studies have been performed. So far no interactions have become known.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. In the absence of sufficient data, the use of this drug is not recommended during pregnancy and breast-feeding.

application

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:

Kinder:

• 6 – 11 years: 1.5 ml 4 times a day
• 3 – 5 years: 1 ml 4 times a day

Adults and young people aged 12 and over:

• 10 ml 3 times a day

Use in children under 3 years of age is not recommended due to a lack of data.

Method of administration: For oral use.

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. When used as directed, no side effects are known.

composition

• The active substance is: liquid extract from marshmallow root
  1 ml (= 1.3 g) contains 0.97 ml marshmallow root syrup (Althaeae sirupus), made from 0.48 ml liquid extract (macerate) from marshmallow root (Althaeae radix, drug-extract ratio (DEV) 1 :22; extraction agent: water)
• The other ingredients are: sucrose, propyl parahydroxybenzoate E 216, methyl parahydroxybenzoate E 218, ethanol 96%, sorbitol solution 70% (non-crystallizing) E 420, total ethanol content: approx. 7.24 mg
