ApoLife 30 Krill Oil 60 capsules
Krill is a collective term for around 80 different types of small crustaceans.
Antarctic krill (Euphausia superba), which has a particularly low level of heavy metals, is used as the supplier of the krill oil.
Its plentiful occurrence in huge schools in one of the world's cleanest seas and its rank at the bottom of the food chain give it a key position in the Antarctic ecosystem. It feeds mainly on phytoplankton and zooplankton (diatoms...), which results in the extremely low level of pollution from heavy metals. The krill itself serves as food for many sea creatures (fish, seals, whales, penguins, seabirds...).
Due to its high content of health-promoting ingredients, krill oil has been approved by the EU Commission as a novel food for use in supplements and dietetic foods. It contains valuable omega-3 fatty acids (EPA, DHA), phospholipids and the antioxidant natural carotenoid astaxanthin.
