CUTIMED PROTECT SPRAY 28ml
CUTIMED PROTECT SPRAY 28ml
Cutimed Protect Spray chronic wound protection 28 ml is a liquid protective agent for the skin. After spraying, it forms a stable, waterproof protective film that protects the skin from irritation caused by adhesives, shear forces or body wastes and fluids. For use on intact or irritated skin.
Cutimed Protect Spray is supplied as a liquid and is intended to be used as a film-forming agent. When applied to intact or irritated skin, the product creates a durable, waterproof barrier that acts as a protective shield between the skin and body waste, fluids, adhesives and shear forces. The product is designed to serve as a primary barrier against irritation by body fluids.
- Waterproof barrier - Cutimed PROTECT creates a waterproof barrier, making it ideal for protecting against body waste and fluids, such as wound fluid.
- Durable - Moisture barrier lasts up to 96 hours.
- Breathable - The film created allows air to pass through and allows the skin to breathe.
- When the skin moves, it bends - The formed film is flexible and does not crack, so it remains an effective barrier against moisture.
- Easy to remove - Protective film that can be easily removed with most medical adhesive removers.
The package contains 28 ml in spray.
Dosage and method of use
- Clean and dry the affected area before applying the spray.
- Hold the spray nozzle 10 to 15 cm (4 to 6 inches) from the skin and apply a smooth, even layer of film to the desired area in a smooth motion. Temporarily cover the wound or damaged skin to avoid spraying directly, e.g. use a tampon.
- If you miss an area during the first application, let the spray dry (approximately 30 seconds) and then reapply only to the desired area. When applying Cutimed PROTECT Spray to areas with skin folds or areas where the skin touches another area of skin, ensure that these areas are exposed to sufficient air to allow the film to dry completely.
Using the product under a patch, cover or device:
- Allow the spray to dry completely before covering the area with a cover or patch.
- The spray must be reapplied each time the cover and/or patch is changed; most patches remove this protective film.
Using the product to protect against bodily fluids, feces or urine, etc., without using other adhesives on the skin:
- We recommend reapplying Cutimed PROTECT Spray every 24-96 hours, depending on how often the area is cleaned.
- In extreme cases (e.g. chronic diarrhoea) where there is very frequent cleaning of the skin, it may be necessary to apply the product more often (e.g. every 12-24 hours).
If you are not using the spray nozzle, put the cap on it.
How to remove it:
If necessary, the film can be removed using most medical adhesive removers according to the manufacturer's instructions. Clean and dry the area and then reapply Cutimed PROTECT Spray.
