Dermodrin ointment 100g

Treatment of itching, local pain and hypersensitivity reactions of the skin in the case of - allergies - insect bites - eczema, hives, itchy wound edges and skin abrasions - light burns, sunburn - itchy rashes after exposure to the sun (sun allergy).

Diphenhydramine hydrochloride, the active ingredient in Dermodrin, is an antihistamine and antiallergic, an anti-itch and pain relief agent for allergies and skin diseases.

Dermodrin ointment has a cooling effect as an oil-in-water emulsion.

Dermodrin ointment is intended for external use only.

The creamy, white, completely irritant and odorless preparation is easy to rub in and spread on the skin.

The effect occurs shortly after applying the ointment and lasts for 2-6 hours.

The recommended dose is:

Adults and adolescents from 12 to 18 years of age apply a 5-15 cm long strand of ointment to the affected skin area 3 to 4 times a day, depending on the size of the area to be treated.
For children from 6 to 11 years of age, an approx. 10 cm long strand of ointment is applied 3 to 4 times a day.
A strand of ointment approx. 3 cm long is applied 2 to 3 times a day to children aged 2 to 5 years.

The duration of treatment should be as short as possible.

special instructions

Adults and adolescents:

The daily dose of 300 mg diphenhydramine, corresponding to 15 g Dermodrin ointment, must not be exceeded. 300 mg correspond to 3/4 of a tube of 20 g, 1/3 of a tube to 50 g and 1/6 of the tube to 100 g.

Children from 6 to 11 years:

The maximum daily dose of 150 mg diphenhydramine (corresponds to 41 cm of ointment strand / day) must not be exceeded.

Children from 2 to 5 years:

The maximum daily dose of 37 mg diphenhydramine (corresponds to 10 cm ointment strand / day) must not be exceeded.
