Teufelskralle ratiopharm 480 mg film-coated tablets are a traditional herbal medicine for the supportive treatment of mild joint pain such as in the knees, hips or shoulders.
This medicinal product is a traditional herbal medicinal product that is only registered for the stated areas of application because it has been used for many years.

Contraindications
Devil's Claw ratiopharm should not be taken
- if you are allergic to devil's claw root dry extract or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
- if you suffer from a stomach or duodenal ulcer.

Taking Devil's Claw ratiopharm with other medicines

Pregnancy and lactation
In the absence of sufficient data, use during pregnancy and lactation cannot be recommended.

application

The recommended dose is:
Adults:
1 film-coated tablet in the morning and 1 film-coated tablet in the evening
Use in children and adolescents In
the absence of sufficient data, use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age cannot be recommended.
Method of administration
Oral use
The film-coated tablets should be swallowed whole with a glass of water with or after meals.
Duration of use
The onset of action can only be expected after a few days of treatment.

side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
- Hypersensitivity reactions (skin rash, hives, facial swelling sometimes associated with circuit failure [called anaphylactic shock])
- Diarrhea
- nausea
- gas
- stomach pain
- Vomit
- headache
- dizziness
- Allergic skin reactions
- Increase in blood sugar levels in patients with insulin-dependent diabetes. This goes away after stopping the drug.
Information on the frequency of occurrence of side effects cannot be given.

The active substance is:
480 mg dry extract of devil's claw root
1 film-coated tablet contains 480 mg dry extract of devil's claw root (Harpagophyti radix, drug-extract ratio (DEV) 4.4 - 5.0 : 1). Extraction agent: ethanol 60% (v/v)
The other ingredients are:
colloidal anhydrous silica, microcrystalline cellulose, maize starch, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, macrogol 6000, hypromellose, talc, titanium dioxide (E171)
