This medicinal product is a traditional herbal medicinal product that is only registered for the stated area of ​​application because it has been used for many years.

This medicine is used in adults, adolescents and children over 4 years of age.

Contraindications

easybronchial thyme must not be taken,

• if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to thyme or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
• if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to plants belonging to the mint family (such as lemon balm or mint).

interactions

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking easybronchial thyme.
In case of fever, shortness of breath or purulent sputum, a doctor should be consulted.

Children
Use in children under 4 years of age is not recommended due to a lack of data.

Driving and using machines
No studies on the effects on the ability to drive and use machines have been performed.

easybronchial thyme contains ethanol, maltitol, sodium and sodium benzoate.
This medicinal product contains up to 341 mg ethanol (alcohol) per 15 ml. Approx. 341 mg ethanol is therefore taken per dose of 15 ml (= 19.5 g). This amount corresponds to 3.6 ml of wine or 8.7 ml of beer.
There is a health risk for patients suffering from alcoholism. The alcohol content must be taken into account in pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as in children and patients at increased risk due to liver disease or epilepsy.

This medicine contains maltitol solution. Only take easybronchial thyme after consulting your doctor if you know that you suffer from a sugar intolerance.

Note for diabetics:
10 ml contain 11.05 g maltitol solution corresponding to approx. 0.9 bread units (BE). If you have to follow a diabetic diet, you should take this into account. The caloric value is 2.3 kcal/g maltitol. Maltitol can have a mild laxative effect.

This medicinal product contains less than 1 mmol sodium (23 mg) per 15 ml, ie essentially 'sodium-free'.
This medicinal product contains 19.5 mg sodium benzoate per 15 ml dose.

application

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is

Adults and adolescents over 12 years:
15 ml 4 times a day.

Children from 4 to 11 years:
10 ml 4 times a day.

Children
Use in children under 4 years of age is not recommended due to a lack of data.

Method of administration
For oral use
It can be taken undiluted or diluted with water.

The enclosed 30 ml measuring cup with a 2 ml or 2.5 ml scale is used for dosing. The bottle is closed with a child-resistant cap. To open, push the latch down while turning it counterclockwise (see drawing).

side effects

Hypersensitivity reactions (including one case of anaphylactic shock and one case of Quincke's edema) and gastric disorders have been observed. The frequency of occurrence is not known.

composition

The active ingredient is liquid extract of thyme.
100 ml contain 6.5 g liquid extract of thyme (Thymi herba), drug-extract ratio 1:2-3, extraction agent ammonia solution 10% (m/m): glycerol 85% (m/m): ethanol 90% (v /V) : water (1:10:70:109).

The other ingredients are anhydrous citric acid, sodium benzoate (E211), potassium sorbate, sodium citrate dihydrate, maltitol solution, purified water, ethyl alcohol/water mixture.
