Erwo Pharma Dioscomb 500mg 30 tablets
Dioscomb is a medicine to protect the blood vessels (vasoprotector). It increases venous tone and resistance of small blood vessels.
Dioscomb is used in adults:
- to treat symptoms related to chronic vein problems in the legs: heaviness in the legs, swelling in the legs, pain, leg cramps at night.
- for the treatment of functional disorders associated with acute symptoms caused by haemorrhoids, such as pain, bleeding and swelling in the anal region.
Contraindications
Do not take Dioscomb if you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or might take/use any other medicines.
There are currently no known drug interactions.
Pregnancy, lactation and fertility
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. As a general precaution, it is best to avoid taking this medicine during pregnancy and while breast-feeding. Due to the lack of data on excretion in breast milk, this drug is not recommended for breast-feeding women.
application
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Chronische Venenkrankheit (Veneninsuffizienz):
- The recommended dose for adults is two film-coated tablets daily, preferably one film-coated tablet at lunchtime and one film-coated tablet in the evening with meals.
Please be sure to consult your doctor or pharmacist if you do not feel better or feel worse after 6 weeks of taking Dioscomb to treat the symptoms of chronic vein disease. If you need to continue taking Dioscomb, the duration of your treatment will be decided by your doctor.
Acute hemorrhoidal symptoms:
- The recommended dose for adults for the first 4 days of treatment is 3 film-coated tablets twice a day (6 tablets a day).
- For the next 3 days, the dose is 2 film-coated tablets twice a day (4 tablets a day).
- The maintenance treatment dose is 1 film-coated tablet twice a day.
The film-coated tablets are to be taken with meals.
With this indication, you may only take Dioscomb for a limited period of 15 days.
If you are taking Dioscomb to treat symptoms of an acute haemorrhoidal disease, if you do not feel better or feel worse after 7 days, you should talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Common: may affect up to 1 in 10 people
- Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, indigestion
Uncommon: may affect up to 1 in 100 people
- Inflammation of the large intestine (colitis)
Rare: may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people
- Headache, dizziness, malaise, rash, itching, hives
Not known: frequency cannot be estimated from the available data
- Isolated edema (swelling) of the face, lips or eyelids associated with allergic symptoms. In exceptional cases, Quincke's edema (rapidly developing edema of the face, lips, mouth, tongue or throat, possibly accompanied by difficulty breathing), abdominal pain
composition
The active ingredients are micronized flavonoids containing diosmin and other flavonoids called hesperidin.
Each film-coated tablet contains 500 mg of micronised flavonoids, which contain 450 mg of diosmin and 50 mg of another flavonoid called hesperidin.
The other ingredients are:
- Core: Magnesium Stearate, Talc, Corn Starch, Gelatin, Microcrystalline Cellulose (Type 102).
- Coating: red iron oxide (E172), yellow iron oxide (E172), macrogol 3350, partially hydrolysed poly(vinyl alcohol), titanium dioxide (E171), talc.
