What is GS Mamavit Prefolin® + DHA? 
GS Mamavit Prefolin® + DHA is a complete and balanced combination of vitamin, mineral, DHA and EPA. It is a combination that has been designed to suit mothers and their babies in all important periods:

•  in the period of maternity planning  - before pregnancy, to support immunity and to compare the organism before a very difficult period for each woman, 
•  during pregnancy , when the need for vitamin and mineral increases significantly, 
•  even during postnatal breastfeeding , when the body gradually recovers and goes to normal.

The composition of the product was developed in collaboration with experts from the Institute for the Care of Mother and Child in Prague - Podolí based on the latest findings on nutrition of pregnant women and breastfeeding women.

What is Prefolin®? 
Taking the right food supplements before conception is very important for the normal conception, normal development and growth of your baby. Vitamin C, B6, B12, folic acid, selenium, zinc and copper promote the function of the immune system.

Prefolin® is a special four-component complex containing folic acid, vitamin C, vitamin E and iodine, which are especially important already before pregnancy:

•  Folic acid  is important for the proper functioning of the female reproductive system and the physiological course of pregnancy. 
•  Vitamin C  and  Vitamin E  - Strong antioxidants that work together to help protect the body from free radicals. 
•  Iodine  - This element is needed for the production of thyroid hormones. The recommended daily dose of iodine ranges from 150-250 μg per day.

Why are omega-3 unsaturated fatty acids important for pregnancy? 
DHA  (docosahexaenoic acid) and  EPA  (eicosapentane acid) belong to the group of omega-3 unsaturated fatty acids. Special attention has been paid to these substances in recent years due to their beneficial effects on the body. The human body is unable to produce these substances itself (or only to a very limited extent), so we have to accept them in the diet.
The intake of omega-3 unsaturated fatty acids is often insufficient in our conditions. (The main source of these substances is mainly seafood and races - optimally 3 times a week). In addition, the need for omega-3 unsaturated fatty acids is increasing during pregnancy, especially from the second half, and breastfeeding. DHA intake from the mother's body contributes to the normal development of the fetal eye and brain in the mother's body and infants nourished by breast milk. A beneficial effect is obtained with 200 mg of DHA per day in addition to the recommended daily intake of omega-3 fatty acids in adults, ie 250 mg of DHA and EPA.

GS Mamavit Prefolin + DHA contains a high proportion of DHA and EPA, which, combined with a varied and balanced diet, covers the needs of the body. In addition, the capsules are processed with the special DHA MMV Technology® technology for added comfort and ease of use.

How to use GS Mamavit Prefolin® + DHA? 
GS Mamavit Prefolin® + DHA has a dual dosing schedule:

•  In the pre-pregnancy period:
In the pre-pregnancy period, the demands of the body are not significantly higher, but every future mother tries to put her body into an optimal form, taking care of movement and lifestyle. The complementary source of GS Mamavit Prefolin® + DHA is a very good choice. Take alternately 1 capsule and 1 tablet every other day after a meal 
or during the main course and drink down with plenty of liquid.

•  During pregnancy and breast-feeding:
Every mother's body undergoes a stress test during pregnancy and breast-feeding. Therefore, it is good to support the organism in the form of a preparation such as GS Mamavit Prefolin® + DHA, which was developed specifically for mothers and guarantees their organism a complete and balanced delivery of all necessary ingredients. 
Take 1 tablet once a day and 1 capsule after a meal or during the main meal and drink with plenty of liquid.

Recommendation:
Do not take other vitamin preparations at the same time. 

Tip:
Use GS Mamavit Prefolin® + DHA at regular times (eg at lunch time). You will be sure you have used your vitamin.
