GUERLAIN Shalimar eau de toilette for women
GUERLAIN Shalimar eau de toilette for women
Fall in love with a refined oriental fragrance just as the Indian ruler fell in love with the beautiful princess Mumtaz Mahal 4 centuries ago. Guerlain Shalimar Eau de Toilette for women was inspired by this romantic story as early as 1925. The very first oriental fragrance is still extremely popular today.
- a perfectly sensual oriental fragrance
- for all women who want to awaken their sensuality
- it reflects the true essence of femininity
Composition of the fragrance
In the introduction of the fragrance you will be charmed by the combination of light floral notes and fresh bergamot. Then an aromatic trio of delicate iris flowers, romantic jasmine and traditional rose float to the surface. The perfect integrity of the fragrance is ensured by the earthy accords of tonka beans and the exotic element of vanilla pods, which develop most during the long finish.
The story of the fragrance
When creating the Guerlain Shalimar fragrance in 1925, perfumer Jacques Guerlain was inspired by an ancient love story, according to which the Indian emperor Shah Jahan once dedicated the Taj Mahal to Princess Mumtaz Mahal as a proof of his love and had the magical Shalimar Gardens built for her. Thanks to this, in 1925, the very first oriental fragrance in the world of modern perfumery could be created.
