Food for special medical purposes intended for dietary management in refractory epilepsy and other disorders requiring a ketogenic diet, e.g. congenital disorders of carbohydrate metabolism – pyruvate dehydrogenase complex disorder or impaired glucose transport (GLUT1). It can be used in the classic (LCT) ketogenic diet 4:1. Nutritionally complete nutrition in powder with very high fat content and low carbohydrate content. It contains a mixture of oils, milk proteins (casein and whey), added amino acids, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, trace elements and fiber.
The package contains 6x300 g.
Dosage and method of use
The amount and dilution of nutrition shall be determined by a physician or a specialist in clinical nutrition, depending on the age, body weight and state of health of the patient. The recommended nutritional concentration is 14.2% vol. (i.e. 14.2 g of powder + 86 ml of water per 100 ml of nutrition). Based on individual needs, a higher concentration may be prescribed by the doctor. To achieve the desired dilution, mix the following amounts:
