Lemocin Relieves Sore Throat Fast - When you suffer from a sore throat, all you want is for it to go away as quickly as possible. The composition of Lemocin is tailored precisely to the needs of swallowing and speaking difficulties: the analgesic ingredient ensures that the symptoms disappear. The disinfecting component fights the sore throat pathogens and thus the cause of the pain. Lemocin lozenges are particularly appreciated by young and old because of the excellent taste.

field of use

Lemocin contains a local antibiotic, tyrothricin, and a local antiseptic, cetrimonium bromide, along with a local anesthetic (a local pain reliever), lidocaine.

Lemocin lozenges are used to support the treatment of mild to moderate inflammation of the throat and mouth (sore throat and inflammation of the oral mucosa).

If you do not feel better or worse after 4-5 days, contact your doctor.

Contraindications

Lemocin should not be taken

  • if you are allergic to tyrothricin, cetrimonium bromide, lidocaine (or a similar narcotic) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6),
  • for larger, fresh wounds in the mouth and throat,
  • if you have bradycardia (heart muscle weakness with a slow heart rate),
  • in the case of inflammation in the oral cavity, throat or pharynx due to radiation damage,
  • in patients with bronchial asthma or other respiratory diseases associated with marked hypersensitivity of the airways. Inhaling Lemocin lozenges may cause shortness of breath or trigger an asthma attack,
  • in children under 12 years of age (see also “Warnings and precautions”).

interactions

Beta-blockers (medicines for high blood pressure and certain heart conditions) and cimetidine (certain medicines for stomach and duodenal problems) can increase the side effects of high doses of lidocaine.
The effect of cetrimonium bromide can be reduced by the simultaneous use of toothpastes or other so-called anionic surfactants.

Taking Lemocin with food, drink and alcohol
Lemocin should not be taken with or just before drinking or eating. The local anesthetic effect of lidocaine can cause numbness of the tongue and lining of the mouth and throat and may make it difficult to swallow. Do not eat or drink anything while the anesthetic is in effect.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Pregnancy:
There are no known teratogenic effects. However, as a precaution, Lemocin lozenges should not be used during pregnancy.

Breast- feeding:
since small amounts of lidocaine can pass into breast milk, it should not be used during breast-feeding.
