GLYX stands for "Glycemic Index" (GI): This shows how quickly and to what extent carbohydrate-rich foods affect blood sugar levels. The higher this value, the faster the sugar gets into the blood, the lower, the more moderately our sugar and energy metabolism is burdened. Pure dextrose (glucose) has a GI of 100, a slice of toast 70, wholemeal bread only 40 and lettuce only 10. The more nutritious our food, the lower the GI.

METANORM® GLYX supports the absorption of glucose into the cells and thus contributes to normalizing the blood sugar level.

BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS

Biotin, zinc, chromium and fenugreek extract support blood sugar levels.

ENERGY METABOLISM

The vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B12, vitamin C, iron and manganese support the energy metabolism. Alpha-ketoglutaric acid, magnesium succinate and ferrous fumarate are important intermediates in energy metabolism.
