Omniflora 30 Capsules
Omniflora 30 Capsules
Lactobacillus gasseri colonizes the human small intestine.
This creates acidic conditions so that the growth of pathogenic microorganisms is inhibited.
Bifidobacterium longum is found in the small intestine and large intestine.
Above all, it breaks down carbohydrates into acetic acid and lactic acid and counteracts gas-forming bacteria.
Omniflora is applied
- as a supportive treatment for diseases of the small or large intestine that are associated with diarrhea, flatulence or constipation.
- to support the reconstruction of the intestinal flora (e.g. after antibiotic treatment).
If you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 7 to 10 days, contact your doctor.
Contraindications
Omniflora must not be taken
- if you are allergic to Lactobacillus gasseri or Bifidobacterium longum culture lyophilisate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
- with suppression of the immune system.
- if there is blood in the stool.
- by children under 6 years of age.
- of patients with a weakened immune system (e.g. HIV infection, organ transplantation, leukemia, malignant tumors, radiation, chemotherapy, long-term high-dose cortisone treatment) because of the hitherto unassessable risk of general colonization with the active ingredients Lactobacillus gasseri and Bifidobacterium longum.
interactions
Other medicines and Omniflora
Do not use with antibiotics or chemotherapy drugs that act on certain bacteria (on gram-positive bacterial rods).
The effectiveness of Omniflora can be reduced if antibiotics are administered at the same time. Therefore, do not take Omniflora for at least 2 hours after a dose of antibiotics.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
There are no adequate studies on the use of this medicine during pregnancy and lactation. The widespread use of Lactobacillus gasseri and Bifidobacterium longum as medicines or in foods has not resulted in any indications of risks; nevertheless, due to insufficient research, the use of Omniflora during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended.
