Pharmonta Rubriment Emulsion 60 ml

This drug is a rub-in pain reliever that stimulates circulation.

The active ingredients benzyl nicotinate and nonivamide promote blood circulation in the skin. After a short time, the skin becomes slightly reddened and feels warm.

The active ingredients containing salicylic acid, hydroxyethyl salicylate and salicylamide, are quickly absorbed by skin with a high blood supply and primarily relieve muscle and joint problems.

All active ingredients together quickly relieve pain, help relieve muscle cramps and accelerate healing by stimulating tissue metabolism.

Is quickly absorbed, non-greasy, no soiling of the laundry.

Areas of application
To relieve pain and promote blood circulation in the skin to relieve tension in muscle and joint problems.

Contraindications

Rubriment must NOT be used

• if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to benzyl nicotinate, nonivamide, hydroxyethyl salicylate, salicylamide or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);
• on very sensitive skin;
• on inflamed or diseased areas of skin;
• in vascular occlusions of the arteries 
• if you have a tendency to bleed;
• for disorders in the area of ​​small and very small blood vessels in diabetics;
• in severe liver and kidney diseases;
• in bronchial asthma or other respiratory diseases associated with pronounced hypersensitivity of the airways. Breathing Rubriment can cause shortness of breath or trigger an asthma attack;
• in infants and young children under 2 years of age (risk of laryngeal spasm) (see section '3. How to use Rubriment?' and section '4. Possible side effects?');
• during pregnancy and lactation (see section Pregnancy and lactation).

interactions

The effects of the following medicines may be increased if they are taken at the same time as Rubriment:

• the effect of certain anticoagulant drugs (coumarin) resulting in an increased tendency to bleed;
• the unwanted effects of methotrexate (medicine used to treat cancer) may be increased;
• the blood sugar-lowering effect of sulfonylureas (medicines used to treat diabetes) may be increased;
• Adverse effects of cortisone preparations, such as gastrointestinal bleeding and water retention in the tissue, can occur more frequently;
• Saluretics and spironolactone (certain diuretics): Swelling may increase;
• the undesirable effects of rheumatism drugs can be increased;
• the effects of other medicines applied to the skin may be increased.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
There are insufficient data from the use of Rubriment in pregnant or breast-feeding women, therefore Rubriment should not be used during pregnancy or breast-feeding (see Contraindications).

Adults
Apply about 5 ml (1 teaspoon) of Rubriment to the painful parts of the body and massage in well. After the effect wears off, massage Rubriment in again.

Children from 2 years of age and adolescents up to 18 years of age
Use in children from 2 years of age and adolescents up to 18 years of age is not recommended as there are no clinical data on use in this age group.

Children under 2 years of age
Rubriment must not be used in children under 2 years of age (see section “DO NOT use Rubriment”

Patients with liver and/or kidney
problems Rubriment should not be used in patients with severe liver or kidney problems.

Type of application
The duration of treatment is usually one week. If you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 3 days, contact your doctor.

Shake before each use!
Massage Rubriment in until skin feels dry again; then wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. Rubriment absorbs quickly and is not greasy; no soiling of the laundry.

side effects

Diseases of the skin and subcutaneous
tissue Increased skin reactions (burning, wheals) are possible in hypersensitive (usually red-haired, blond) patients. In such cases, wash affected skin areas with cold water. The effect can be increased with hot water.

Additional side effects in children
Respiratory, thoracic and
mediastinal disorders Rubriment can cause laryngeal spasms in infants and children up to 2 years of age, resulting in severe breathing difficulties and must therefore not be used in children under 2 years of age.

• The active ingredients are: 100 ml Rubriment contains: 2.0 g benzyl nicotinate, 0.1 g nonivamide, 1.8 g hydroxyethyl salicylate, 0.2 g salicylamide.
• The other ingredients are: Camphor, Aetheroleum Terebinthinae, Isobornyl Acetate, Lanette N, Emulgade F, Paraffin Oil, Purified Water.
