Racibum 100mg 10 tablets

RACIBUM is a medicinal product intended for the treatment of diarrhoea. RACIBUM is intended for the treatment of symptoms of acute (sudden onset) diarrhea in adults in cases where the cause of the diarrhea cannot be treated.

Racecadotril may be given as adjunctive therapy even in cases where treatment of the cause is possible.

If you do not feel better after 2 days of treatment with RACIBUM or if you feel heavier, you must consult a doctor. The duration of treatment with RACIBUM should not exceed 7 days.

Composition:

• The active substance is racecadotril. One capsule contains 100 mg of racecadotril.
• The other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, pre-swelled corn starch, magnesium stearate and colloidal anhydrous silica. The capsule contains gelatin, yellow iron oxide (E 172) and titanium dioxide (E 171).

Dosage / method of use:

• Always use the product exactly in accordance with the package leaflet or according to the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist
• The recommended dose for adults is one capsule three times a day. RACIBUM should be taken preferably before main meals, but at the beginning of treatment you can take one capsule of RACIBUM at any time of the day. Swallow the capsules with a glass of water.
• This medicine should be taken with adequate fluid and salt (electrolyte) replacement to replace fluid loss caused by diarrhoea.

Contraindication:

• Do not use if you are allergic to the medicinal substance or any other component of this product.
• Serious skin reactions including drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS) have been reported in association with racecadotril treatment.

• Do not dispose of any medicinal products in sewage or household waste.
• Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
