Vivamel coverage with medical honey is a contact net for the treatment of wounds with poor secretion and for the protection of the lower wound. The net is soft, thin and covered with medical honey. Thanks to its extraordinary elasticity, it ensures better contact with the base of the wound, while honey prevents the bandage from sticking to the wound.
Medical chestnut honey has a high sugar content (min. 80%), low water content (max. 17%) and acidic pH. Due to these physical properties, the solitary activity of honey is very high. Osmotic pressure draws fluids from the cells of microorganisms, prevents their growth and at the same time stimulates wound healing, because it stimulates the flow of necessary substances in the body. Chestnut honey is a rich source of vitamins, enzymes and minerals (especially calcium, manganese and potassium), which also stimulate wound healing and shorten the healing time. Honey enables great wound healing and creates mechanical wound protection.

Dosage and method of use
At the beginning of the healing process, it is recommended to change the mesh every other day, in the case of a larger amount of secretion even every day, because the effects of honey are reduced by dissolving in the secretion from the wound. Wounds with low secretion require replacement only twice a week.
