CALMiten® Diosmectitum 3 g + electrolytes 10 sachets

Synergistic effect of diosmectite with electrolytes for the treatment of acute and chronic diarrhea. With vanilla flavor. Gluten-free. Suitable for adults and children from 2 years of age. CALMiten® is a medical device intended for the oral treatment of acute
and chronic diarrhea and painful symptoms associated with gastrointestinal diseases. CALMiten® is also indicated to prevent diarrhoea caused by radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

It represents a UNIQUE combination of diosmectite and electrolytes in one bag.
• Contains 3 g of diosmectite – a natural clay with a characteristic lamellar structure
that ensures high adsorption of fluids inside the intestines. Due to this, the consistency of
the stool increases and its emptying slows down.
• The electrolytes contained (sodium chloride 0.263 g, potassium chloride 0.0373 g, tridrase citrate anhydrous
0.162 g, trisodium citrate 0.147 g) help to establish a physiological balance of water
and minerals.

Effects:
• absorption of fluid inside the intestines thanks to natural clay with a lamellar structure that provides high adsorption power;
• increases stool consistency and slows emptying;
• reduces the risk of dehydration caused by diarrhea;
• thanks to the electrolytes it contains, helps to restore the physiological balance of water and minerals,
• the absorbent effect of diosmectite allows binding to glycoproteins present on the mucous membrane of the stomach and intestines and thus regulates their physical properties,
• creates a protective gel protecting the mucous membrane from excessive formation of gastric acids and substances damaging the surface of the gastric mucosa.

Dosage:
For the first three days:
Children over 2 years old: up to 4 sachets per day.
Adults: up to 6 sachets per day. After that, continue to administer half the dose until the complete disappearance of diarrhea.

Use:
CALMiten® is a single-use medical device in the form of a sachet for the preparation of an oral suspension. Dissolve the contents of 1 sachet in 100 ml of water. To get a homogeneous
suspension, pour into a glass, add water and stir slowly. Take CALMiten® sachets between meals. Use each bag as soon as possible after opening. CALMiten® should not
be taken for more than 5 consecutive days. If your health does not improve, see a doctor.

1 sachet contains: diosmectite 3 g, sodium chloride 0.263 g, potassium chloride 0.0373 g, tridrassium citrate anhydrous 0.162 g, trisodium citrate 0.147 g, glucose (anhydrous dextrose) 1.982 g. Excipients: vanillin, sodium saccharin, silicon dioxide, cream
flavor, vanilla flavor; dye: beta-carotene.

Before taking the medicine, consult a doctor if you are taking medication at the same time. The strong absorption effect of diosmectite could affect the absorption of concomitantly
administered drugs. Other oral medicines should be taken with a time interval from CALMiten®. Do not take if you
suffer from constipation. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking the medicine. Information for patients with diabetes or with a special diet:
