Collatamp G hemostatic collagen sponge 5x5x0.5cm 50mg

Collatamp G is used for adjuvant local treatment in areas with a high risk of infection. The product contains gentamicin sulfate in a locally effective dose. It is used in many surgical fields as a suitable supplement in the prevention and fight against infection, especially in patients with risk factors (diabetes, high BMI).

Dosage and method of use:
Unless otherwise recommended, Collatamp EG is administered as follows: Collatamp EG can be cut to the required size. Depending on the size of the defect, more pieces can be used (depending on the patient's weight). The dose of 9 mg of gentamicin sulfate per 1 kg of body weight must not be exceeded. Collatamp EG is placed on the treated area, which should be as dry as possible. and is held in place with light pressure for 3 minutes to achieve better adhesion. Gloves and instruments should be moistened.

Warning:
Collatamp EG should not be applied to patients with known hypersensitivity to proteins or gentamicin.
Since no experience with use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is described, administration to pregnant and breastfeeding women is not recommended, as is administration to patients with renal insufficiency.
