Turmeric, also known as curcuma, is a perennial plant native to the tropical climate of India. Very large, elongated, pointed leaves and large, white-greenish to purple flowers grow on stalks from the yellow, strongly branched rhizomes.

Collagens, also known as “collagens” in English, are special proteins with very high tensile strength. They can carry 10,000 times their own weight and give bones, cartilage, intervertebral discs, skin, tendons and heart valves their strength. All human cartilage is made up of 70 percent collagen.

Vitamin C fulfills many important functions in metabolism. It supports the immune system and protects cells from oxidative stress. However, for around 30% of adults, their vitamin C intake is below the recommendations of the DGE (NVSII). In addition to foods rich in vitamin C, dietary supplements with vitamin C can also contribute to a good supply.
