FreeStyle Libre 2 is a medical device fully covered by public health insurance for patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus.
The FreeStyle Libre 2 Reader reads and collects glucose data from the FreeStyle Libre 2 Sensor. The Reader displays your current glucose level at the time of the scan and over the past 8 hours. The arrow and its direction indicate the development of your glucose concentration. It can store up to 90 days of measurement history.
Compared to previous generation FreeStyle Libre readers, this reader also has 3 optional alarms in case:
- Your glucose level is rising rapidly.
- Your glucose level is dropping sharply.
- There is a signal interruption between the reader and the sensor.
