Bronchostop cough DUO 20 lozenges
Traditional herbal medicine used to relieve the urge to cough and to encourage the clearing of thick phlegm in coughs associated with a cold.
This medicinal product is a traditional herbal medicinal product that is only registered for the stated area of application because it has been used for many years.

Contraindications
BRONCHOSTOP® duo cough lozenges should not be taken if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to thyme or marshmallow root or any other member of the mint family or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6.

There are no known interactions with other drugs.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
In the absence of sufficient data, use during pregnancy and breast-feeding is not recommended.
BRONCHOSTOP® duo cough lozenges contain maltitol and sorbitol
Please consult your doctor before taking BRONCHOSTOP® duo cough lozenges if you know that you suffer from a sugar intolerance.
Note for diabetics
1 lozenge corresponds to approx. 0.1 BE. This should be taken into account in patients with diabetes mellitus.
application
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Dosage: Adults and adolescents from 12 years:
2 lozenges every 3 to 4 hours (4 to 6 times a day, total daily dose up to 12 lozenges).
Children from 4 to 12 years:
1 lozenge every 3 to 4 hours (4 to 6 times a day; total daily dose up to 6 lozenges).
Children under 4 years of age:
Use in children under 4 years of age is not recommended (see section 2).
Method of administration:
To be taken orally (dissolve in the mouth by sucking).

side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Hypersensitivity reactions and gastrointestinal complaints have been observed with medicinal products containing thyme. The frequency of occurrence is not known.
composition
The active ingredients are: thyme dry extract, marshmallow root dry extract
1 lozenge contains:
51.1 mg thyme dry extract (drug-extract ratio 7-13 : 1; extracting agent water) and 4.5 mg marshmallow root dry extract (drug-extract ratio 7-9 : 1; extracting agent water)
The other ingredients are:
gum arabic (gum arabic), sorbitol (E 420), maltitol (E 965), maltodextrin, citric acid anhydrous, sodium saccharin, aronia aroma, wild berry aroma, liquid paraffin, bleached wax, purified water.
