The plum flavored duphalac contains a laxative called laxative called lactulose. It softens the stool and facilitates its passage by attracting water to the intestine. It is not absorbed in the body. Duphalac is used to treat constipation and to form soft stools.
Dosage and method of use
Adults and adolescents: 1-3 bags per day. Children (7-14 years): 15 ml - corresponds to 1 sachet per day. Children (1-6 years): 5-10 ml daily. Infants up to 1 year up to 5 ml daily.
Ingredients
Each bag of Duphalac plum flavored oral solution contains 15 ml equivalent to 10 g lactulose.
Contraindication
Duphalac with plum flavor can be used during pregnancy and lactation. It can only be given to infants and young children in justified cases as it may affect the normal void reflex. Read the package leaflet carefully.
