IBUPROFEN APOTEX 100mg oral suspension for kids 150 ml
Ibuprofen Apotex 100 mg / 5 ml oral suspension is a medicine that reduces pain and fever (a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, NSAID). It is used for short-term symptomatic treatment: mild to moderate pain such as tooth and head pain, fever.
Ibuprofen Apotex 100 mg / 5 ml oral suspension is for children from 5 kg body weight (6 months of age) to 39 kg body weight (11 years of age).
The volume of the product is 150 ml.
Dosage and method of use
One dose by body weight (and age):
5 kg - 6 kg (infants aged 6-8 months) 50 mg ibuprofen (equivalent to 2.5 ml suspension),
7 kg - 9 kg (infants aged 9 - 11 months) 50 mg ibuprofen (equivalent to 2.5 ml suspension),
10 kg - 15 kg (infants / children aged 1-3 years) 100 mg ibuprofen (equivalent to 5 ml suspension),
16 kg - 19 kg (children 4-5 years) 150 mg ibuprofen (equivalent to 7.5 ml suspension),
20 kg - 29 kg (children 6 to 9 years old) 200 mg ibuprofen (equivalent to 10 ml suspension),
30 kg - 39 kg (children aged 10 to 11 years) 200 mg ibuprofen (equivalent to 10 ml suspension).
As a rule, 7 to 10 mg / kg b.w. as a single dose up to a maximum dose of 30 mg / kg bw as a total daily dose.
The dose interval must be at least 6 hours.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Ingredients
Ibuprofen Apotex 100 mg / 5 ml oral suspension contains the active substance ibuprofen. 1 ml oral suspension contains 20 mg ibuprofen. The other ingredients are: sodium benzoate (E211), citric acid, sodium citrate, saccharin sodium, sodium chloride, hypromellose, xanthan gum, maltitol solution, glycerol (E422), strawberry flavor powder (natural flavoring, corn maltodextrin, triethyl citrate (E-1505), propylene glycol (E-1520) and benzyl alcohol), purified water.
Contraindication
Read the package leaflet carefully. Ibuprofen Apotex 100 mg / 5 ml oral suspension is not recommended for use in children below 6 months of age or weighing less than 5 kg. Do not take this medicine during the last 3 months of pregnancy. Avoid using this medicine during the first 6 months of your pregnancy unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
