MAXI-KALZ 1000mg - 10 effervescent tablet
MAXI-KALZ contains calcium in a form suitable for oral administration. A sufficient supply of calcium is necessary for bone and tooth growth and for normal function of cell membranes, nerves and muscles. Calcium is also used in the treatment of some allergic conditions. The normal daily requirement of calcium is between 500-1500 mg. It is used without the advice of a doctor to cover the increased need for calcium during growth, pregnancy and lactation.
It is used as part of treatment for bone thinning (osteoporosis) and bone softening (osteomalacia), for allergic reactions, and for the supportive treatment of spasmophilia and tetanus syndrome (increased nervous irritability prone to muscle cramps) as recommended by the physician.
The pack contains 10 tablets.
Dosage and method of use
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
Adults take one effervescent tablet once a day (equivalent to 1000 mg of calcium per day). Children take one effervescent tablet once a day (equivalent to 1000 mg of calcium per day). Effervescent tablets should be dissolved in a glass (about 1/4 liter) of water just before use. Drink the prepared solution immediately. Take with or just after a meal.
Ingredients
The active substance is calcium carbonate. Each effervescent tablet contains 2500 mg calcium carbonate equivalent to 1000 mg calcium. The other ingredients are anhydrous citric acid, sodium cyclamate, sodium saccharin, lemon flavor powder (contains sorbitol).
Contraindication
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
