, OMEPRAZOL TEVA PHARMA is used in adults for a short-term treatment of reflux symptoms (eg heartburn, acid regurgitation).
Reflux is the return of the acid content of the stomach back to the esophagus where it can cause inflammation and pain. This may be the cause of symptoms such as a painful chest sensation rising to the mouth (heartburn) and a sour sensation in the mouth (acid regurgitation).

, OMEPRAZOL TEVA PHARMA is used to treat the following conditions:
For adults:
- oesophageal reflux disease. In this case, stomach acid returns to the esophagus (the tube that connects the mouth and stomach) and causes pain, inflammation and heartburn.
- ulcers of the upper intestine (duodenal ulcers) or stomach (gastric ulcers).
- ulcers that are infected with a bacterium called "Helicobacter pylori". If you have this disease, your doctor may also prescribe antibiotics to treat infection and heal ulcer.
- ulcers caused by the use of medicines called "non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs"? (NSAIDs). OMEPRAZOLE TEVA PHARMA can be administered to prevent ulceration when taking NSAIDs.
- Excess gastric acid production due to the growth of the pancreas (Zollinger-Ellison syndrome).
For children:
Children from 1 year of age and weighing more than 10 kg
- oesophageal reflux disease. In this case, the stomach acid returns to the esophagus (the tube that connects the mouth and stomach) and causes pain, inflammation and heartburn. In children, symptoms may also include gastric return (regurgitation), nausea (vomiting), and slow weight gain.
Children from 4 years of age and adolescents
- ulcers that are infected with a bacterium called "Helicobacter pylori". If your child has this infection, your doctor may prescribe antibiotics to treat the infection and heal the ulcer.

Dosage and method of use

The recommended dose of OMEPRAZOL TEVA PHARMA is two 10 mg capsules once daily for 14 days. See your doctor if the symptoms of the disease have not resolved during this time. It may be necessary to take the capsules for 2-3 consecutive days before symptoms improve.

Ingredients
OMEPRAZOLE TEVA PHARMA contains the active substance omeprazole. Each capsule contains 10 mg or 20 mg omeprazole.
The other ingredients are granular sugar (contains sucrose and corn starch), sodium starch glycolate type A, sodium lauryl sulfate, povidone K30, sodium phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium hydroxide, hypromellose, MA / EA 1: 1 copolymer, triethyl citrate, titanium dioxide (E171), talc, erythrosine (E127), quinoline yellow (E104), gelatin, red iron oxide (E172, OMEPRAZOL TEVA PHARMA 10 mg) or indigo carmine (E132, OMEPRAZOL TEVA PHARMA 20 mg).
