Panadol Novum 500mg 24 tablets
Panadol Novum tablets are used to relieve mild to moderate pain, such as headache, migraine, back pain, toothache and menstrual pain. Panadol Novum also provides relief from the unpleasant symptoms of the flu and colds, such as muscle, joint and sore throat, and reduces fever.
Only after consultation with a doctor can the product be used to reduce pain in some rheumatic diseases, such as osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease) and neuralgia (pain felt during the nerve).
Panadol Novum contains paracetamol, an active substance that relieves pain and fever.
The tablets are absorbed faster than standard paracetamol tablets, the active substance is released 5 minutes after ingestion.
Panadol Novum does not irritate the stomach, does not cause bleeding and can also be used by patients with gastric and duodenal ulcers and people who do not tolerate acetylsalicylic acid.
Panadol Novum is suitable for adults, teenagers and children from 6 years.
The pack contains 24 tablets.
Dosage and method of use
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Dosage:
Adults (including the elderly) and adolescents from 15 years of age: 1-2 tablets as needed up to 4 times a day with an interval of at least 4 hours. (One tablet is suitable for people weighing 34-60 kg, 2 tablets for people weighing more than 60 kg.)
Adolescents 12-15 years of age: 500 mg paracetamol (1 tablet) at least 4-6 hours apart. The highest single dose is 1 tablet. The maximum daily dose is 3 g (6 tablets). Do not take more than 6 tablets in 24 hours.
Children 6 to 12 years of age: 250 to 500 mg of paracetamol (half to 1 tablet) at least 4 to 6 hours apart. A single dose is half a tablet for children weighing 21-32 kg, 1 tablet for children weighing 33 kg or more. The maximum daily dose for a body weight of 21-24 kg is 1.25 g (2 and a half tablets), for a body weight of 25-32 kg it is 1.5 g (3 tablets) and for a body weight of 33-40 kg it is 2 g ( 4 tablets).
The tablets should be swallowed with a sufficient amount of fluid. Take this medicine without consulting your doctor for a maximum of 7 days. Do not give the product to children for more than 3 days without consulting a doctor. A minimum interval of 4 hours between doses must be observed.
Ingredients
Panadol Novum contains:
- The active substance is paracetamol 500 mg per tablet
- The other ingredients are: pregelatinised maize starch, calcium carbonate, alginic acid, crospovidone type A, povidone 25, magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silica, carnauba wax, Opadry YS-1-7003 white coating system (contains titanium dioxide (E 171 ), hypromellose, macrogol, polysorbate 80).
