Sensicutane ointment 80 gr

Sensicutan is a cortisone-free ointment. Sensicutan ointment contains the two active ingredients bisabolol and heparin sodium. This coordinated and balanced combination leads to an inhibition of inflammation with a rapid onset of action and relieves the often unpleasant itching. The skin-friendly emulsion system of the ointment base allows Sensicutan ointment to be used on dry, normal and moist skin.
Sensicutan ointment is used as an additional treatment for inflammatory, non-infectious, severely itchy skin diseases.

Contraindications

Sensicutan ointment must not be used:

if you are allergic to bisabolol, or heparin sodium or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
If there is a tendency to bleed and if there is a reduced number of thrombocytes, the use of heparin preparations should be avoided.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or might take/use any other medicines.
So far, no interactions of Sensicutan ointment with other drugs are known.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
It can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding if used as intended, for a short period of time and according to the current state of knowledge.

application

To open it for the first time, push the spike through the protective membrane of the tube. Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:
The ointment should be applied 2 – 3 times a day to the affected areas of the skin.
It should not be used for more than 1-2 weeks.

Use in children and adolescents: In
the absence of sufficient data, use in children under 3 years of age is not recommended.

side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
In very rare cases, skin intolerance may occur in patients with extremely sensitive skin. In general, these skin symptoms resolve quickly after stopping. In case of a specific allergic reaction, consult a doctor and discontinue use.

The active ingredients are: 100 g contain: bisabolol 0.30 g, heparin sodium 20,000 IU

The other ingredients are: fatty alcohols ethoxylated, almond oil, medium chain triglycerides, myristyl alcohol, citric acid, collagen hydrolyzate, α-tocopherol acetate, dexpanthenol, sorbic acid 0.1 g, salicylic acid 0.3 g, purified water.
