Procto-Glyvenol

Hemorrhoids are dilated veins in the anus area that cause pain and itching. Procto-Glyvenol is used for topical treatment of external and internal hemorrhoids.

Procto-Glyvenol contains two active substances - tribenoside and lidocaine. Tribenoside is a venopharmaceutical (a medicine used in vascular disease) that reduces capillary permeability and improves the tension of flaccid vessels. It also has anti-inflammatory effects by blocking the action of substances responsible for inflammation and pain. The second active substance of Procto-Glyvenol is the local anesthetic lidocaine. It provides immediate relief from itching, pricking and pain. 
 
Procto-Glyvenol is available in the form of suppositories and rectal cream. The cream can be applied both to the rectum (using the applicator) and locally around it. Both dosage forms have the same composition. In case of acute outbreak of symptoms, the product is applied twice a day (in the morning and in the evening). Procto-Glyvenol can be used by pregnant women from the 4th month of pregnancy.
