Poloxamer, polyhexamethylene biguanide (polyhexanide, 0.1%) purified water
Use
The entire wound and its surrounding area should be thoroughly cleaned with Actolind® w Solution to minimize the risk of transferring contaminants and microorganisms to the wound surface.
- For optimal wound cleansing, it is recommended to moisten the wound with deep and intensely necrotic tissues for at least 10-15 minutes using a completely moistened dressing (wet dressing application).
- The application can be repeated depending on the condition of the wound without time restrictions.
- Do not dilute the solution!
- The cleaned wound can be covered with Actolind® w Gel and bandaged properly.
Use with bandages and dressings
- Actolind® w Solution is compatible with all modern wound dressings.
- Thoroughly moisten dressings and bandages adhered to the wound surface with Actolind® w Solution, wait approximately 5-10 minutes for softening and carefully remove them from the wound.
- To maintain a moist wound environment, the dressing can be changed daily, or several times a day, if necessary.
Notice
Read the instructions carefully before use. For external use on the skin only. Do not use for infusions or injections. Not for ingestion! Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if the seal under the cap is broken or damaged. Close the bottle immediately after use to avoid any contamination. The edge of the bottle should be protected from direct contact to avoid contamination during use. Bottles that have come into direct contact with a wound or have been otherwise contaminated should be discarded. Keep only in the original packaging. Protect from sunlight. Dispose of according to local regulations. Use the opened product within 8 weeks. Due to insufficient clinical information, Actolind® products should only be used in newborns and infants under strict and careful medical supervision.
