Allergan JUVEDERM ULTRA 2 LIDO 2 x 0.55ml

uvéderm Ultra 2 is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, physiological solution of cross-linked, non-animal hyaluronic acid. This product helps patients regain a youthful facial appearance by plumping the skin's internal tissues.

The presence of lidocaine in the composition makes the procedure virtually painless.

Indications

Juvederm Ultra 2 Lido is recommended as part of care aimed at:

• smoothing out fine and medium-deep lines and wrinkles,
• restoring facial volume,
• emphasizing the contour of the lips.

Dosage

Juvéderm Ultra 2 is injected into the middle layers of the skin or into the oral mucosa.

The agent is applied slowly, very gently pressing the plunger of the syringe.

It is possible to make adjustments to achieve optimal results and/or repeat the treatment to maintain the results.

It is recommended to leave an interval of 2 weeks between two consecutive injections.

To ensure the preparation is evenly distributed under the skin, gently massage the treated area.

Contraindications

Juvederm Ultra 2 Lido should not be used in patients:

• suffering from untreated epilepsy,
• with a tendency to develop hypertrophic scars,
• hypersensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients,
• suffering from porphyria,
• with diseases, inflammations and active infections at the treatment site or in its vicinity.

Pregnant or breastfeeding women and children should not be treated with the drug.

Juvéderm® ULTRA 2 should not be injected into the eyelid or into blood vessels (intravascularly). Intravascular injection may cause embolization, vascular occlusion, ischemia, or infarction.

Interactions with other products

There are no studies on the interaction of Juvéderm® ULTRA 2 with fillers manufactured by companies other than Allergan.

The product should not be used concurrently with laser treatment, deep chemical peeling or dermabrasion.

Hyaluronic acid should not be used with quaternary ammonium salts (including benzalkonium chloride).

It is essential to avoid contact of Juvéderm® ULTRA 2 with these substances or with medical-surgical instruments that have been disinfected with agents containing these compounds.

The composition of the product allows it to be used with magnetic fields generated during magnetic resonance imaging.

Product composition

Juvederm Ultra 2 Lido contains:

• 24 mg of hyaluronic acid in gel,
• 3 mg lidocaine hydrochloride,
• 1 ml of phosphate buffer, pH 7.2.

Package contents

Two pre-filled syringes containing 0.55 ml of the preparation, two disposable, sterile 30 G 1/2” needles, an instruction leaflet and a set of labels for identification.
