The Alltest Helicobacter pylori rapid antigen test is intended for home self-testing from a stool sample . The test is designed to detect the presence of H. Pylori antigen . It is an ideal aid for early identification of a potential infection that may be the cause of stomach problems. When the body comes into contact with this bacterium, the immune system produces specific IgG antibodies that try to eliminate the infection.
Helicobacter pylori
Helicobacter pylori is a bacteria that thrives in the human stomach lining. Infection with this bacteria is often asymptomatic, but in some cases it can lead to gastritis or ulcers in the stomach or duodenum (the beginning of the small intestine). Typical symptoms include heartburn, upper abdominal pain, nausea, a feeling of fullness, reflux, belching, loss of appetite, weight loss and diarrhea .

Use
Before performing the test, stool samples must be collected according to the instructions below.
- Wash your hands with soap and rinse with clean water.
- Stool sampling: The stool sample should be collected on stool collection paper or in clean collection containers. Please use stool collection paper, avoid contamination of the sample by taking precautions to ensure that the sample or the side of the paper containing the sample does not come into contact with any contaminated objects, including toilet cleaners.
- Stool Sample Processing: Unscrew the cap of the sample collection tube and then randomly insert the sample collection applicator into the stool at least 3 different locations.
- Screw and tighten the cap on the sample collection tube, then shake it vigorously to mix the sample and extraction buffer.
- Bring the test strip to room temperature before opening. Remove the test strip from the foil pouch and use it as soon as possible. For best results, perform the test immediately after opening the foil pouch.
- Open the cap of the sample collection tube and break the tip. Invert the sample collection tube and transfer 2 full drops of the extracted specimen into the sample well (S) on the test cassette, then start the timer. Avoid trapping air bubbles in the sample well (S).
- Read results after 10 minutes. Do not read results after 20 minutes.
The test can be performed at any time of the day.
The color and intensity of the lines are of no importance for the interpretation of the result. The lines should be homogeneous and clearly visible. The test should be considered positive regardless of the intensity of the color of the line in the T test line.
