Arufil drops are so-called artificial tears that help replace the loss of natural protective film on the surface of the cornea in people affected by "dry eyes" (a drop in tear production). They are intended for the treatment of dry conjunctivitis , which is caused by the problem of washing the surface of the eye with tears.
The main symptoms of dry eye syndrome are:
- Burning and pressure
- Feeling of strange bodies or sand
- Fatigue of eyes
- The feeling of sticking the lids to the eye
- Poor tolerance of staying in the wind, in a smoky room, in an air-conditioned environment
- Deterioration of vision to evening and fluctuations in vision during the day
- Paradoxically, even increased tearing
Adults, adolescents and children dose up to 4 times a day 1 drop into the lower conjunctival sac of the affected eye. Consult doctor for up to 5 days. In pregnancy, it is advisable to consult a physician and is appropriate during breast-feeding.
The active substance is povidone K30 20 mg in 1 ml (= 24 drops) of an aqueous solution.
The other ingredients are benzalkonium chloride, disodium edetate dihydrate, disodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, sodium chloride and water for injections.
The first time you open it is a maximum of 6 weeks. Immediately after application, it may cause short and partial eye fogging. Avoid contact with soft contact lenses (remove contact lenses before application and wait for at least 15 minutes before reinsertion).
