Betadine is a disinfectant suitable for disinfecting the skin and mucous membranes. It acts on bacteria, fungi, viruses and protozoa. The product is used as a topical disinfectant on the skin and mucous membranes, to disinfect wounds, to disinfect the skin before injection, blood collection, infusion or transfusion or other procedures performed by a doctor, or for complete or partial disinfection before surgery. The product also treats skin bacterial and fungal diseases.
The package contains 30 ml.
Dosage and method of use
Betadine can be used either concentrated or diluted with water in a ratio of 1:10 or 1: 100. The diluted solution cannot be stored. Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
Ingredients
The active substance is povidone iodinatum 100 mg in 1 ml aqueous solution (equivalent to 10% solution). The other ingredients are: glycerol 85%, nonoxinol 9, citric acid, disodium phosphate, purified water, sodium hydroxide solution (for pH adjustment).
Contraindication
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the product. If you have thyroid disease, do not use Betadine unless strictly indicated. Read the package leaflet carefully.
