Bionect Plus cream is intended for the treatment of skin lesions, especially those with a high risk of infection. It is used to cover both acute and chronic wounds (first and second degree burns, vascular and metabolic ulcers and pressure sores), and provides the wound with a moist, microbe-free environment. This medical device is suitable for uninfected wounds to prevent infection and, after successful treatment of infected wounds, also to prevent recurrence of infection.

How does Bionect Plus cream work?

Hyaluronic acid creates a moist environment necessary for the natural wound healing process. Silver sulfadiazine in the composition of the product plays a role in the prevention of microbial contamination, thereby improving the ability of hyaluronic acid to promote wound healing. These properties make it possible to change the dressing only once a day, minimizing exposure to air lesions, thereby reducing the likelihood of their contamination.

Composition

Main ingredient: Sodium hyaluronic acid 0.2%. Additional components: Sulfadiazine silver 1%, polyethylene glycol 400, monostearate, decyl ester of oleic acid, emulsifying wax, glycerol, sorbitol solution 70%, purified water.

Use

  • Clean the wound before each application.
  • Apply a thin layer of cream to the wound surface.
  • Use 1-2 times a day until complete recovery.
  • Prolonged treatment for one month should be assessed by the doctor based on the clinical development of the lesion.
  • Cover the treated area with a sterile dressing.

Notification

  • Not suitable for children and pregnant women. Do not use when individual hypersensitivity to the components of the product is detected. Not suitable for people with liver or kidney failure or glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency.
  • A tube of Bionect Plus cream should only be used by one patient to reduce the risk of cross-infection.
  • Avoid direct contact of the tube with the wound.
  • Do not use concomitantly with disinfectants containing quaternary ammonium salts or topically applied proteolytic enzymes, as they may interact with the product.
  • Avoid exposure to sunlight in treated areas, as products containing silver sulfadiazine can cause brownish spots on the skin. However, any stains can be easily removed by washing the area.
  • Keep out of reach of children!
