The Blendea Kelp food supplement contains 745 mg of kelp per capsule. Kelp (Ascophyllum nodosum) is a marine seaweed that occurs mainly in shallower and colder areas of the ocean, where it forms so-called kelp forests. It contains a respectable amount of iodine and other substances beneficial to the body such as vitamins B1, B2 and B12, calcium and iron. Iodine is essential for the normal function of thyroid hormones, a healthy nervous system, and also contributes to normal energy metabolism. Iodine is also very essential to maintain healthy skin. Kelp Blendea is filled into vegan capsules and does not contain gluten.
