Ingredients

The active substance is iodinated povidone. 100 g of solution contains 7.5 g of iodinated povidone containing 10% of usable iodine.

The other ingredients are sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, sodium iodate, lauromacrogol 450 (macrogol lauryl ether 9 EO), sodium hydroxide, purified water.

Contraindication

Read the package leaflet carefully.

Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to iodinated povidone or any of the other ingredients.

Do not use if you have an overactive thyroid gland or other thyroid disease.

Avoid regular use in newborns . The use of Braunol requires thyroid function tests. Any accidental ingestion of Braunol by young children should be carefully avoided.

During pregnancy and breast-feeding , Braunol should only be used on the advice of a doctor and its use should be severely restricted. Thyroid function tests in children are required after the use of Braunol in the mother. Care must be taken to avoid accidental ingestion of Braunol by infants during breastfeeding through contact with treated parts of the mother's body. Prolonged use on large wounds and mucous membranes can lead to significant iodine absorption, which can affect fertility.

Elderly patients are at risk of iodine-induced thyroid function, and these patients should consult a physician before using Braunol. In elderly patients with goiter and a tendency to thyroid dysfunction, Braunol should be used for a long time and over a large area only on the advice of a doctor. Thyroid function tests should be performed if necessary.
