CARBOCIT 20 tablets
Carbocite belongs to a group of medicines containing medicinal charcoal, which absorbs gases and toxic substances from the digestive system. The bismuth compound present has a local disinfectant and astringent effect in the digestive tract. Citric acid replaces the lack of protons with their insufficient secretion by the gastric mucosa. Without consultation with a doctor, adults and adolescents can use the product for a short time (maximum 2 days) for acute diarrhea caused by a dietary error, less severe intestinal infections caused by viruses and bacteria, and irritable bowel syndrome.
Dosage and method of use
Do not use for more than 2 days without a doctor's recommendation. Dosage varies with age, read the package leaflet carefully.
Take the tablets whole with a little water, or leave them to disintegrate in a glass with a small amount of water, mix thoroughly and drink the contents of the glass. The tablets can be chewed or crushed due to their size and taken with water. The tablets are always given to children as a suspension of 3/4 by crushing or disintegrating the tablets in a small amount of water, and the child will drink the dose with a glass of water or dark tea.
Ingredients
The active substances are carbo activatus 320 mg, bismuth subgallas 25 mg and citric acid monohydrate 3 mg per tablet. The other ingredients are sucrose, microcrystalline cellulose, glycerol 85%, gelatin, talc, magnesium stearate, sodium starch glycolate and lemon essential oil.
Contraindication
The product is not intended for children under 3 years. Children from 3 years of age should be given the product only on the recommendation of a doctor.
Only on the advice of a doctor are used in adults who suffer from ulcerative inflammation of the colon, inflammation of the lining of the stomach and excessive breakdown of food in the intestine, or diarrhea caused during other underlying diseases (diabetes).
Do not use if you are hypersensitive to bismuth compounds or to any of the other ingredients of Carbocit.
